On the Job: A Day at Waco Fire Station 6

Have you ever wondered what happens at a Waco fire station when our firefighters head to work? Our firefighters respond to over 22,000 emergency calls per year serving Waco and the surrounding area 24 hours a day.

Enjoy a behind-the-scenes glimpse at what it takes to be a firefighter through our “On The Job” video series! Watch as we simulate what it’s like to wake up at night, respond to a call, and get dressed out in the appropriate 75-pound fire gear. Then watch as we simulate an obstacle course that mimics numerous situations you could find at a call for service, including dragging someone to safety and pulling a charged fire hose.
