The Barron’s Branch District is the first phase of the ambitious 100-acre Waco Downtown Redevelopment Project. Stretching across approximately 30 acres along the Brazos River, this district is designed as a park-first urban neighborhood that transforms underutilized land into a walkable destination.

The defining feature of the district is the restoration of Barron’s Branch Creek. Complementing the creek, other key elements include natural water features, a living landscape, pedestrian walkways connecting the core of downtown throughout Barron’s Branch Park, walkways along the creek, an entertainment pavilion, a pedestrian bridge over the creek, a cascade fountain, La Pila Plaza, and promenades overlooking the Brazos River.
