A portion of 42nd Street near Waco High School adjacent to the former Lion’s Park site was renamed “Lion’s Way” in a ceremony that was part of Waco High’s first homecoming in their new building.

The completion of construction of the new transfer station for Waco’s new landfill was celebrated with luncheon and solid waste truck parade on Friday, September 19.
