Firehouse to Your House Microchip Program
With the Fire House to Your House Program, Waco residents can have stray animals scanned for a microchip at their local fire station. If a stray animal is located, there’s a good chance it’s not far from its home.
By visiting a Waco fire station and getting the animal scanned for a registered microchip, the owner can be located, and the animal can be kept out of our local shelter. If no chip is found, firefighters give residents information on the next steps.
Remember, microchipping your pet is the law in Waco, and free microchips are available to Waco residents.
